More and more of OpinionJournal goes behind the paywall. Personally I think it’s the right move, because what’s there to lose? If we won’t pay, the business was over anyway. And my bet is we will.

U

pdate Entries lets you easily update rows in any database table — whether within ExpressionEngine’s database or in any database to which you have administrator access. It helps integrate EE with other MySQL-based systems, such as a commerce platform.

For example, the other system can send a form to the page containing the Update Entries plugin, which can update both EE (such as changing the status of a payment from pending to paid) and another system in turn.

For more information, see the docs.

The plugin costs $15 per EE install, works on both EE v1.x and v2.x, and is free to download and try before you buy.

If however you need to insert, view or delete database entries, see the Insert Entries ($15), Select Entries ($10) and Delete Entries ($5) plugins. And if you need all three functions, see the External Entries plugin — at $25 it’s a saving of $20 over buying the four plugins separately.
